Gorilla trekking is the main highlight of this safari for Wild Mountain gorillas are the most sought primates in the world given that they can only be found East and Central Africa in countries including Uganda, Rwanda and Congo. Uganda has the highest population of these creatures in Bwindi forest national park. Kibale forest national park is Africa’s best chimpanzee trekking destination with guaranteed best views of the chimpanzees and other 12 existing primates in the park. It is also a home to 138 species of birds, 250 tree species and 60 species of forest wildlife including forest elephants, bushbucks, warthogs, giant forest hogs and buffaloes.

It also features visiting Queen Elizabeth national park as the only savannah national park on the trip for a wildlife experience where you encounter the lions in the lion tracking experience and also view other animals during the game drives.
Detailed Itinerary
→ Day 1: Arrival in Kampala
Upon arrival at Entebbe airport, you will be met by our company representative/ driver who will drive you to your booked hotel in Kampala. Dinner and overnight stay
Accommodation: Fairway Hotel/Serena Kampala Hotel/Forest Cottages
→ Day 2: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable national park.
After breakfast, you will be welcomed by our company representative/guide who will then transfer to Bwindi national park. It’s an 8-9 hours’ drive with en-route lunch and stop at the Uganda Equator.
Proceed to Bwindi forest at your booked lodge for dinner and overnight stay

→ Day 3: Full Day Gorilla Trekking Experience.
Have breakfast and transfer you to park offices for briefing about Mountain Gorilla trekking by a local guide. The time taken is usually between 2-8 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas. Meeting the gorillas unexpectedly is one of the most captivating lifetime experiences. You will have a chance to observe and take pictures at a very close range.
You will observe adults feeding and groaning among themselves. After an hour with the long-awaited gorillas, your guide and rangers will lead you back to the starting point where your driver will readily be waiting to transfer you back to the lodge for a restful evening.

→ Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park and Ishasha game drive
After having breakfast early morning, connect and transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park-a home to the tree-climbing lions.
This is a 4 to 5 hours journey with a stopover lunch via the Ishasha sector. Arrive in the park in the early afternoon and have lunch in Ishasha where you will also enjoy a game drive in the area finding the tree-climbing lions and other available animals.
Thereafter drive to your lodge for relaxation, dinner, and overnight stay at

→ Day 5: Game Drive and Boat cruise on Kazinga channel
Go for an early morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth national park where you will spot a lot of wildlife including African elephants, lions, buffalos, antelopes, impala, among others, and a lot of birds, and a good day leopards.
Return to the lodge for breakfast, relax a bit and enjoy your lunch.
Connect for a boat cruise along the Kazinga channel where you will get an opportunity to see a number of bird species, elephants and buffaloes, hippos, and crocodiles. The Kazinga channel is known to have the highest concentration of hippos.
Retreat from the boat trip in the evening and check-in your lodge for relaxation.

→ Day 6: Transfer to Kibale national park – Bigodi swamp walk and Cater lakes
Wake up and enjoy your breakfast, meet your guide and transfer to fort portal town. It’s a 3-4 hours’ drive a lunch break in Fort portal town.
Visit the Amabere caves and waterfalls then connect to Bigodi swamp for a nature walk experience. This is one of the best places to see the different primates species that cannot be seen when trekking chimpanzees in Kibale forest.
It takes about 2-3 hours depending on what is available to see. This is also a place for birds where bird lovers must visit.
Thereafter, proceed to your booked lodge for dinner and overnight stay
