Day 2: Chimp Trekking & Bigodi Walk

Wake up to the sounds of the rainforest before heading to the Kibale National Park Visitor Centre for a briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers. Today is one of the highlights of your Uganda Primate Safari as you embark on an unforgettable chimpanzee trekking experience through one of Africa's richest tropical forests.

Follow experienced guides as you search for habituated chimpanzee families while learning about their fascinating social behavior, communication, feeding habits, and conservation. Once located, spend one magical hour observing these intelligent primates in their natural habitat.

After lunch, continue to the renowned Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, a community-managed eco-tourism project famous for its incredible biodiversity. This guided swamp walk offers excellent opportunities to spot several monkey species, colorful birds, butterflies, and unique wetland vegetation.
